Wondering About Jojoba Oil For Hair Growth? Our Guide

Do you wish your hair was a little longer?

If you find your grows too slowly for your liking and don’t like the idea of costly extensions, then I just might have the solution for you.

Jojoba oil is full of vitamins and minerals that won't only nourish and moisturizer your hair, but will also help make it you long and luxurious.

Using jojoba oil for hair growth is not a new thing. In fact, many women have been using it for years. Read my guide to join the thousands of women using this natural and effective oil.

What Is Jojoba Oil?

Jojoba oil is extracted from the jojoba plant, which is native to the southern United States and northern Mexico.

It was used by native American cultures for millennia as a treatment for sores and wounds.

It comes in liquid form which makes it easy to use. You can apply it directly to your hair, and it has a long shelf life.

This means the oil won’t go rancid and you can continue to use it year after year. In its pure form it's a golden color, but if it has been processed it will be more transparent and clear.

How Does Jojoba Oil Work For Hair Growth?

Jojoba oil contains high levels of vitamin E and B, as well as silicon, copper and zinc. Vitamin E and silicon are crucial to hair growth and strength.

Strong hair is less likely to break, which, obviously, means it has a chance to grow!

It's easily absorbed and will moisturize hair without leaving any residue and will even help hair cells to reproduce.

Dry hair can lead to dandruff and limp hair, so using jojoba oil for hair growth will also leave your mane thick and shiny!

Jojoba oil is also great for minimizing split ends. Whilst this won’t stimulate hair growth, it may help keep your hair in good condition and therefore need less frequent trims, allowing you to keep your long hair.

Using Jojoba Oil

The best thing about jojoba oil is that it comes it liquid form, unlike some other oils. This means you can apply it whenever you like.

All you need is 3-4 drops and you’re good to go, making one bottle last a long time.

Make sure the oil is pure or organic and either refined or cold-pressed to reap the maximum benefits.

You may want to spend some time experimenting to find what works best for your hair type and beauty routine, but here are a few of my favorite applications:

How To Apply Jojoba Oil

Mix it with your conditioner – this is easy and won’t add any extra time to your hair care routine.

Simply shampoo your hair as normal and when it comes to conditioning, add a few drops of oil to your conditioner and use as normal.

To promote hair growth you will need to massage the conditioner and jojoba oil into your scalp.

If you prefer to just condition your ends, your hair will be left silky, shiny and smooth.

Combine with water in a spray bottle – another quick and easy way to apply to jojoba oil is to add a few drops into a spray bottle with water and spritz your hair when it’s damp.

Again, to stimulate growth you will need to pay attention to your scalp.

Give yourself a scalp massage – this is a great way to use jojoba oil for hair growth. Use a few drops and pay particular attention to your scalp with a nice, relaxing massage.

The oil will penetrate your scalp, but the massage will also help to stimulate your hair follicles.

Hot oil treatment – this is by far my favorite. Not only does it work well to help with hair growth, but it provides a relaxing hair mask.

Add some oil to damp hair, ensure it is on your scalp for growth and on the ends for deep conditioning.

Hold a towel under warm running water until it reaches your desired temperature, wring it out and wrap your hair.

Sit comfortably with a good book for around 20 minutes and then rinse with your regular shampoo and conditioner.

Voila! Strong, shiny hair that will grow faster than it used to.
